Thank you for you interest in Swamp Music’s Bluetick Kennel. My kennel is located in Southeast Georgia in the quiet town of Reidsville. My passion for bluetick hounds runs deep. I am a current member of
ABGHA,
BBOA, and BBCHA. My current stock of hounds are all
UKC registered blueticks. My hounds are not bred for competition. They were selectively bred for their hunting traits and abilities rather than their competition look. I have trained and handled several champion hounds. I hunt on a strict schedule of 3 days per week and no less than 3 hours at a time. I believe that time and devotion are needed to train a dog to their highest potential. I am a pack hunter and only breed when I need to build my pack. When I breed there are puppies available, but I prefer to keep most pups to improve my own pack. I have been hunting and training coonhounds for over 17 years. I pride myself in accepting hounds that others have given up on and turning them into coonhounds.
